Global Sepsis Alliance states, “Sepsis is a life-threatening illness and the body’s extreme response to an infection. Sepsis is a global health crisis. It affects between 47 and 50 million people every year, and at least 11 million die – one death every 2.8 seconds. 1 in every 5 deaths worldwide is associated with sepsis. Depending on the country, mortality varies between 15 and more than 50 %. Many surviving patients suffer from the consequences of sepsis for the rest of their lives.”

Travel With a Purpose. Travel for Good. We pledged to do good with our business ‘Travel With Susmita’. We are committed to giving back to society as we grow our business. We are taking small steps, and with the support from our esteemed clients, stakeholders, and supporters, we will enhance our campaigns to serve more causes. But at the beginning, we are fighting against Sepsis. We are taking the initiative to create awareness against Sepsis.
When someone books their Holiday or any other service that comes under our business speciality through the ‘Travel With Susmita’ business, we will contribute an amount to our fundraising campaign. Apart from this, if anyone is willing to donate generously to our fundraising campaign without availing any service from us, they are most welcome.
Bimal Krishna Mukhopadhyay Trust Fund
Our fundraising campaign is to raise awareness against Sepsis and raise funds to donate to treat financially deprived Sepsis Patients. The more we raise funds, the more we will extend our help to multiple patients.
A recent study published in Hindustan Times, dated Jan 14, 2023, says, “India faces a major challenge with an estimated 11 million sepsis cases a year and almost 3 million deaths. According to a new study, more than half of the patients in intensive care units in India suffer from sepsis, and such cases have risen sharply over the past decade.”

Unfortunately, the owner of the business ‘Travel With Susmita’, Ms Susmita, lost her father in a sudden attack of Sepsis. Her father’s untimely demise left her with the ultimate shock, and the painful scenario is a permanent mark on her mind, and she became aware of Sepsis only when she came to know about the cause of her father’s death. Since then, she started reading and studying available data on Sepsis, and the reflection of her study is portrayed above.
This campaign aims to raise awareness among the general public about Sepsis and contribute to treating needy patients.
