Meghalaya Private Guided Tour – A Solo Traveller’s Journey | December 2024
In December 2024, we had the pleasure of curating a Meghalaya Private Guided Tour for Abhi, a solo male traveller from the Netherlands. This seven-day private trip through the serene and scenic hills of North East India marked a milestone for us. Abhi was our first solo male guest from Europe. From mist-covered valleys to rich cultural experiences, this road trip was an immersive journey through the heart of Meghalaya.
Abhi’s journey was carefully designed to immerse him in the region’s stunning natural beauty and vibrant cultural heritage. He stayed in charming local homestays and explored iconic landmarks, including the ancient UNESCO-listed double-decker root bridge, NohKaLikai Falls, Elephant Falls, Umiam Lake, and the magnificent Seven Sisters Falls. Serene village walks offered him a glimpse into the tranquil rhythms of rural life. The trip concluded in the bustling hill city of Shillong. At Shillong, Abhi explored its vibrant local market and savoured authentic regional delicacies.
Our commitment to meaningful travel ensured that Abhi connected with local communities, learned about their daily life, and contributed to sustainable tourism. Hosting him was a deeply rewarding experience. We are proud to have been part of his journey to discover the mesmerising “Land of Clouds.”
