Kailash Mansarovar Yatra: A Journey of Faith, Patience and Successful Execution

Every expedition has its own story. Some are remembered for breathtaking landscapes, while others leave behind lessons in patience, teamwork and resilience. Our 18th successfully executed project belongs to the latter.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 marked a significant milestone for Travel With Susmita as we successfully organised our first-ever Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage, in collaboration with Winners & Achievers, under the capable leadership of renowned mountaineer Anindya Mukherjee.

Our intimate group consisted of seven members, including the expedition leader—four wonderful ladies from Mumbai and two participants from Kolkata. Together they travelled through Nepal into Tibet, ultimately reaching the sacred land of Mount Kailash and the pristine Lake Mansarovar, a dream destination for pilgrims, travellers and adventure seekers from around the world.

When Patience Became Part of the Journey

Every journey to Kailash is unique, and this expedition reminded us that nature and the mountains always have the final say.

Before crossing into Tibet, our group experienced an unexpected delay imposed by the Chinese authorities. While waiting is never easy, the decision was taken entirely in the interest of the health, safety and proper acclimatisation of all pilgrims. Looking back, it proved to be the right decision.

The additional time allowed every participant to adapt better to the increasing altitude, ensuring the expedition progressed smoothly and safely without compromising anyone’s well-being.

Sometimes the best travel experiences begin not with rushing forward, but with waiting for the right moment.

A Successfully Executed High-Altitude Expedition

Despite the logistical complexities, changing mountain conditions and the physical demands of travelling above 5,000 metres, the expedition concluded successfully.

Every member completed the pilgrimage carrying back unforgettable memories, profound spiritual experiences and a renewed appreciation for the Himalaya.

For Travel With Susmita, this project represented much more than another successful tour. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in organising one of the world’s most challenging and spiritually significant journeys.
