In December 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting our first solo male traveller, Abhi, from the Netherlands. This marked an exciting milestone for us as we curated a seven-day road trip through the enchanting landscapes of Meghalaya.

Abhi’s journey was carefully designed to immerse him in the region’s stunning natural beauty and vibrant cultural heritage. He stayed in charming local homestays and explored iconic landmarks, including the ancient UNESCO-listed double-decker root bridge, NohKaLikai Falls, Elephant Falls, Umiam Lake, and the magnificent Seven Sisters Falls. Serene village walks offered him a glimpse into the tranquil rhythms of rural life. The trip concluded in the bustling hill city of Shillong, where Abhi explored its vibrant local market and savoured authentic regional delicacies.

Our commitment to meaningful travel ensured that Abhi connected with local communities learned about their daily life, and contributed to sustainable tourism. Hosting him was a deeply rewarding experience, and we are proud to have been part of his journey to discover the mesmerising “Land of Clouds.”
