There are many other places in Sikkim where bird watching can be very satisfying and interesting. For example, far North Sikkim areas like Lachen, Lachung, Thangu and Gurudongmar Lake areas. The North Sikkim area boasts an impressive collection of avian treasures, like White-Throated Dipper, White-Winged, Spot-Winged Grosbeak and many more. Day 1: Arrival in Bagdogra
Arrive in Bagdogra and drive to Gangtok. Upon your arrival at Bagdogra airport, you will be picked up by your tour guide and driven to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude. Meals Included: Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Bird watching in Rumtek and Lingdum
After breakfast, drive to Rumtek Monastery, home to many species of birds, such as the White-throated Bulbul, Grey Treepie, and Grey-winged Blackbird. From there, continue to Lingdum Monastery, which is surrounded by forest and has a diverse range of bird species, including the Yellow-billed Blue Magpie and the Black-faced Warbler. Day 3: Bird watching in Phodong and Labrang Monastery
Today you will visit Phodong Monastery, where you can spot the Fire-tailed Sunbird, Rufous-gorged Flycatcher, and Red-headed Bullfinch. Later, visit Labrang Monastery, located in a forested area and home to many species of birds, such as the Green-tailed Sunbird, Long-tailed Minivet, and Rusty-fronted Barwing. Day 4: Bird watching in Pelling
Drive to Pelling, a town in the western part of Sikkim, and check in at your hotel. Spend the day bird watching in the nearby forests, home to many species, including the Collared Grosbeak, Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babbler, and the Himalayan Woodpecker. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 5: Bird watching in Khecheopalri Lake
Today, visit the Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred lake for the local Buddhists, surrounded by dense forests. Here, you can spot many species of birds, such as the Chestnut-crowned Laughingthrush, Rusty-flanked Treecreeper, and the Yellow-billed Blue Magpie. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 6: Bird watching in Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
Today, visit Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 3,780 meters and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Here, you can spot many species of birds, such as the Snow Partridge, Himalayan Monal, and the Blood Pheasant. Later, visit the Baba Mandir, a temple dedicated to a soldier who died in the Indo-China war and which is also a good spot for bird watching. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
