Day 1: Amman Airport - Amman Hotel
Ahlan Wa Sahlan – Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan! Our representative will greet you and your family with a sign before immigration and assist you with the procedure. The ride to your hotel in Amman takes approximately 50 minutes. After check-in, the rest of the day will be yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 2: Amman Hotel - Jerash - Amman Street Food Walking Tour - Amman Hotel
Your driver will take you on a trip to the Roman ruins of Jerash, which are located about 50 km from Amman. Situated in the hills of Gilead, Jerash is the finest example of a Roman provincial city in the Middle East. During your visit, you will get to see the Hippodrome, the Colonnaded Street, the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis, and the North Theatre. Once you return to Amman, you can explore the historical sites downtown. Visit the Citadel, which contains remnants from the Roman to the early Islamic period, and the small Archaeological Museum. You can enjoy a stunning view of the hilly surroundings from the Citadel. Then, you can walk to the Roman Theatre from the second century, which has 6000 seats. Afterwards, enter the busy Souq, where you can observe daily life, taste some delicious local dishes, and gain a unique perspective of the city. The return transfer from the Souq will be a relaxing and enjoyable experience, ensuring you arrive safely back at your hotel in Amman after an eventful day.

Day 3: Amman Hotel – Dead Sea Beach - Kerak Castle – Feynan Eco Lodge
On Day 3 of the trip, we will start by heading to the Dead Sea, which is the lowest point on earth. There, we will take you to one of the beaches equipped with locker rooms and showers. You can float on the buoyant and salty water, cover your body with the dark mud on the shores for some beauty effects, or relax and enjoy the special place.
After that, we will journey to the remains of the Crusader castle, Kerak. You can explore the underground passageways, enjoy the view, and imagine how the forces of Salah ad-Din besieged this stronghold several times. Later, we will have dinner and stay overnight at the Feynan Ecolodge, which is situated in the middle of the desert. The lodge serves vegetarian food only, is powered by solar energy, and is lit in the evenings by candles.
You can do the short sunset hike offered by the lodge with other guests and gaze at the stars with a telescope at night.

Day 4: Feynan Free Morning – Shobak Castle - Little Petra - Petra Hotel
You have a free morning to explore the surrounding areas or participate in one of the group activities offered by the lodge. You can choose to go on a hike or experience the Bedouin culture by learning how to make Arabic coffee or eyeliner. Please note that there may be a small fee for these activities, which goes directly to the local host families. A lunch bag will be provided for you. The latest time to check out from your room is 11:00 am.
Afterwards, a jeep ride will take you to the reception centre, where you will meet your driver. Then, you will head to Shobak Castle. This small Crusader castle was built in 1115 by Baldwin I of Jerusalem and is located in an isolated area with spectacular views of the rugged surroundings.
Next, you will drive for half an hour to Little Petra, which is believed to have served as a stopping point for caravans travelling to Petra. You will enter the site through a narrow gorge known as Siq Al Barid. Here, you will see temples, tombs, and water channels that were carved into the sandstone. Your overnight stay will be in Petra.

Day 5: Petra Visit – Petra Hotel
Today, you can visit Petra, a magnificent city made of rose-coloured rocks. It was established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabatean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and built a commercial empire that extended into Syria. To start your visit, take a walk to the canyon, also known as the Siq. At the end of the canyon, you will see the most beautiful monument, the Treasury. The building is over 40 meters tall and is carved into sandstone, just like most of Petra’s architecture. After that, continue your walk via the Street of Facades and pass by the Theatre to reach the Royal Tombs. You can spend the night in Petra and fully experience its beauty.

Day 6: Petra Hotel - Wadi Rum 3 Hours Jeep Ride - Wadi Rum Camp
Spend a relaxing morning at your hotel in Petra or independently explore the town of Wadi Musa. Afterwards, travel for about 1.5 hours to reach Wadi Rum.
Once you arrive, hop into a 4×4 vehicle with your Bedouin driver and explore more of the vast desert landscape. You will witness the beauty of canyons, red sand dunes, ancient Nabatean rock inscriptions, and a natural rock bridge. Finally, check into your campsite, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night under the starry desert sky.

Day 7: Wadi Rum 2 Hours Camel Ride - Aqaba Hotel
End your stay in Wadi Rum with a camel ride experience. Arabian camels, also known as dromedaries, have only one hump and are well adapted to the desert environment, capable of surviving several days without water. Riding a camel requires no special skills, and a Bedouin handler is always present to assist you. Enjoy the slow pace of the ride, which offers a unique view of Wadi Rum. It takes around 45 minutes to reach Aqaba on the Red Sea. You can spend a leisurely afternoon at your hotel in Aqaba or explore the city independently.

Day 8: Aqaba Leisure Day - Aqaba Hotel
Enjoy a relaxing day at the Red Sea resort of Aqaba. You can choose to unwind at the beach or have some fun with water activities such as diving or snorkelling. These activities are prevalent due to the diverse marine life and coral reefs. Other options for the day include visiting the Mamluk Fort and the archaeological dig Ayla, taking a leisurely stroll along the beach promenade, or exploring the local markets. You will be spending the night in Aqaba.

Day 9: Aqaba Hotel - Amman Hotel
After departing from Aqaba, we took the Desert Highway to Amman, Jordan’s capital, which we reached within four hours. Following check-in at your hotel, you can enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 10: Amman Hotel - Amman Airport
Our driver will pick you up from your Amman hotel lobby at the prearranged time. The drive to Amman Airport takes around 50 minutes, marking the end of your unique Jordan Family Vacation. Say farewell to Jordan – Ma’a Salamah!

- Official check-in time at hotels is 15:00 – and check-out time at hotels is 12:00.
- We do not check the availability of accommodation when planning your trip. Once you booked and any hotel is not available, we search for an alternative and inform you.
- Breakfast at hotels is served in the main restaurant.
- 4x4s in Wadi Rum are old vehicles (no A/C, no seat belt) and belong to the local Bedouin association.
- You walk several kilometres in Petra, so bear in mind good walking shoes and a backpack for beverages, a camera, etc.
- In case of rain, the government may close Petra for security reasons.
- Entry tickets in Petra include a 700-metre horse ride from the main gate to the beginning of the Siq (not mandatory; horse handler expects a tip of 5 JOD per horse).
- All guides in Jordan are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism in Jordan and are not part of our team.
- It is not permitted to bring telescopes or drones without Jordan’s permission.
- The vehicle size used for the tour is based on the number of travellers. Petra Nights Tours assumes that each traveler carries 1 suitcase and 1 handbag. If clients travel with more luggage, we need to be informed in advance. In case a larger vehicle needs to be used to store all luggage, clients will cover the additional costs.
