Return to Amman to tour the city’s historical sites, including the Citadel and the Roman Theatre. Stroll through the bustling Souq and Rainbow Street.

On the second day of your private tour to Jordan, you will begin by driving to Jerash to explore ancient ruins such as the Hippodrome and the Forum. Jerash has located about 50 km from Amman and is the best-preserved Roman provincial city in the Middle East. • Day 4: Amman – Mt Nebo – Madaba – King’s Way – Kerak Castle – Petra

Today, travel from Amman along the historical King’s Way. Visit Mt Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land and the mosaic city of Madaba. Continue to Kerak Castle before arriving in Petra. This route encapsulates the essence of your Jordan Jerusalem Cultural Tour.

On Day 4 of your trip, you will embark on a several-hour scenic tour. Your driver will take you to Mount Nebo, where you can enjoy an incredible view of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and parts of the Holy Land. According to the Bible, this is the place where Moses was able to see the Promised Land before he passed away and is rumoured to be his resting place.

From there, you will head to Madaba, which is known as the “City of Mosaic” in Jordan. Here, you can see the famous 6th-century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land at St. George’s Church. After that, you will travel along the ancient caravan route of the King’s Way and make a brief photo stop at Wadi Al Mujib, a wide valley with stunning geological formations similar to the Arnon River in the Hebrew Bible.

Your next stop will be at the remains of the Crusader castle Kerak, where you can explore the underground passageways, admire the view, and imagine how the forces of Salah ad-Din besieged this stronghold several times. • Day 5: Explore Petra

Discover Petra, a cornerstone of your 7 Day Jordan Itinerary. Tour the ancient city from the Siq to the iconic Treasury, and see the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. Petra’s archaeological wonders offer a deep dive into Jordan’s Nabataean past.

Today, you can visit the highlight of Jordan, which is the red-rose city of Petra! You can start your day as early as 06:00, but if you are an early bird, don’t forget to ask the hotel for a breakfast box the day before. Petra is Jordan’s top attraction and was founded around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs. Initially, they were nomadic, but they developed agriculture techniques and became successful traders. To reach the most beautiful monument, the Treasury, you must pass the narrow canyon, also known as the Siq, which is made of colourful sandstone. After that, continue your journey through the Street of Facades to reach the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. Return along the same trail to the main gate and then back to the hotel. You will be staying overnight in Petra.

    Meals: Breakfast.

  • Day 6: Petra – Baptism Site – Dead Sea

Journey to the Baptism Site, a pivotal part of the Baptism Site Jordan Tour, where John the Baptist baptised Jesus Christ. Then, travel to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon at this natural wonder, known for its buoyant waters and mineral-rich mud.

We will drive for three hours to reach the Baptism Site, known as Bethany, located beyond the Jordan River. This is the place where Jesus Christ was baptised by John the Baptist. You can see the remains of monasteries, churches, and baptism pools here. After that, we will check into our hotel located at the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is a natural wonder and a superlative as it is the lowest point on earth. The area is characterised by high temperatures, oxygen-rich air, and high atmospheric pressure, which weaken UV rays.
